Glen Johnson spoke about his current role at left back and said "I'll play anywhere Kenny Dalglish wants me to play".
THE LIVERWORD SAYS - Johnson has been playing really well down the left. Dalglish surprised me by playing Johnson on the left but it really seems to be working, also with the threat of Johnson being able to cut inside on his right foot.

Steve Clarke praised the players for their hard work since he has arrived.
THE LIVERWORD SAYS -  Steve Clarke deserves alot of praise, he has been a great signing for the club and he deserves great credit in our recent change of fortunes.

Liverpool supporters voted for Raul Meireles' goal against Wolves as Liverpool's best goal in January.
THE LIVERWORD SAYS -  Gets my vote as well, a superb strike and I'm sure we will see more like that from Meireles as he certainly has found his shooting boots.

3 Liverpool youngsters featured in England's under 19's 1-0 loss to Germany at Chesterfield on Tuesday night. Jack Robinson, Tom Ince and Conor Coady captained the side.
THE LIVERWORD SAYS -  Great to see 3 of Liverpool's youngsters playing for England and Conor Coady captaining the side.

Transfer Rumour -  Liverpool target Sylvain Marveaux is set to undergo groin surgery today and will miss the rest of the season for Rennes. Liverpool seem certain to make a move for the midfielder in the summer as he will then be a free agent.
THE LIVERWORD SAYS -  Marveaux seems very highly rated and it will be interesting to see if we get him. Good to hear rumours of us still trying to improve the team.

Transfer Rumour -  Reports from Italy  suggest Liverpool are chasing Napoli striker Ezequiel Lavezzi. Napoli fear losing the 25 year old in the summer.
THE LIVERWORD SAYS -  He has done well with Napoli this season helping them to near the top of the table and we could still do with another striker.

Transfer Rumour -  Reports suggest Liverpool are keen on signing 19 year old midfielder Sergio Canales from Real Madrid, the youngster has failed to break into the first team this season and Liverpool could make a move in the summer.
THE LIVERWORD SAYS -  I like the way we seem to be tracking a lot of youngstes in hope of bringing them to Anfield. It shows a real desire at the club in building for the future.

  1. decent news especially the canales rumour who does look like a really good prospect for the future. It would be good to see him at Anfield.

  2. On lavezzi i guess its nt gud idea, he's 25 we need young playerz, we have carroll and suarez i these guys r enough we need a gud left back and a pacey winger, like elia, the best way of rebulding the team is by buying yung playerz! I agree on canales hs a beter player to sign!

  3. I also agree, however Lavezzi is a great striker. But the commitment and intentions to bring young talent to Anfield, is very promising. Hopefully it will come true. YNWA
