BRAGA V LIVERPOOL MATCH PREVIEW

                                                MATCH PREVIEW

Well after Liverpool's superb performance and win over Manchester United it is back to Europa League action as Liverpool travel to Portugal to face Braga in the last 16 of the competition. Confidence should be sky high after such a win last Sunday but as Liverpool will know games away from home in Europe are always difficult especially when you get to the latter stages of the competition. Liverpool are well aware that this is their only chance of silverware this season and will be giving their all to win it. Liverpool have a few players missing for this match with the latest call off being club captain Gerrard who aggravated his groin injury last Sunday. Kelly, Aurelio and Agger are also still out with injuries and Suarez is ineligable to play so Dalglish will have to reorganise his team from Sunday. It is good to know that Andy Carroll is travelling and may feature after his cameo role against Manchester United as he builds up his match fitness gradually. With the players Kenny has to work with in Portugal I predict the team to be this.

                                                THE TEAM

GOALKEEPER - REINA
RIGHT BACK - CARRAGHER
LEFT BACK - JOHNSON
CENTRE BACK - SKRTEL
CENTRE BACK - KYRGIAKOS
LEFT MIDFIELD - COLE
RIGHT MIDFIELD - MAXI
CENTRE MIDFIELD - POULSEN
CENTRE MIDFIELD - LUCAS
CENTRE MIDFIELD (ATTACKING ROLE) - MEIRELES
STRIKER - KUYT

                                                PREDICTION

I think we will try and play very tight defensively like we did in Prague, especially as we are very short of attacking options. I think Carroll will start on the bench for this match and may come on in the second half for some more game time. Liverpool will be happy with a draw away from home, preferably a score draw but I will go for a no score draw in the match the same as in Prague and hopefully we can finish them off next week at home.
