                                          THE LIVERWORD NEWS 02/03/11

Pepe Reina has admitted that he must improve on his performance at West Ham.
THE LIVERWORD SAYS -  I agree he wasn't up to his usual high standards and was easily beaten at West Ham's third goal.

Steve Clarke admitted that Liverpool's defending was not up to standard against West Ham last Sunday and that everybody will be working hard at Melwood this week to put it right.
THE LIVERWORD SAYS -  It was a poor performance and to lose 3 goals against a team like West Ham was bad, I just hope it goes down as a bad day at the office.

Raul Meireles brilliant goal against Chelsea was voted as Liverpool's goal of the month for February.
THE LIVERWORD SAYS -  It was a special goal and brilliantly dispatched.

Former Liverpool star Dominic Matteo recently visited visually impaired children in Malaysia as part of Standard Chartered's "seeing is believing" project.
THE LIVERWORD SAYS -  I think it is tremendous the way Liverpool are reaching out globally and especially to vulnerable, poor and disabled groups.

Liverpool are still waiting to recieve their allocation of 2900 tickets for their Europa League clash with SC Braga on March 10th at the Estadio Municipal de Braga.
THE LIVERWORD SAYS -  With the great support we have I have no doubt they will be snapped up in no time.

Liverpool reserves take on Blackpool at Bloomfield Road on Thursday afternoon at 2pm, their will be live coverage on LFCTV from 1:45 pm.
THE LIVERWORD SAYS -  Great news that its on live I know I will be watching it. The reserves have been playing really well and are on a 10 match unbeaten run.

Paul Konchesky could return to the Notts Forest line-up on Saturday against Hull as he has recovered from a hamstring strain.
THE LIVERWORD SAYS -  A forgotten man I hope he gets a good run in the team with Forest and maybe make the move permanent. Just a pity he didn't look good enough for us.

Transfer Rumour -  Reports suggest that Roma's Phillipe Mexes is ready to turn down offers from England and will sign for AC Milan in the summer.
THE LIVERWORD SAYS -  I think we are pretty strong in the centre of defence anyway so no big loss there.

Transfer Rumour -  Liverpool target Vedran Corluka could be made available in the summer as he could move down the pecking order at Spurs with Redknapp keen on bringing in new players for Corluka's position.
THE LIVERWORD SAYS - I think he is a very good player it will be interesting to see if we can get him.

Transfer Rumour -  Michel Bastos is being linked with a move to Liverpool in the summer, as Dalglish is willing to pay £14 million for the Lyon left back.
THE LIVERWORD SAYS -  He looks a cracking player and we certainly need a left back its a big problem position.

Andy Carroll took part in his first full training session yesterday as speculation about his debut on Sunday heightens.
THE LIVERWORD SAYS - I don't think Carroll will feature on Sunday as Liverpool won't want to risk a setback after waiting so long on his fitness. It would be great if he could make it especially with so many defenders out for Man U.

  1. Great article!
Loved two things especially....news that Andy Carroll is almost ready (think he will be on the bench, not start) and that Konchesky should get a permanent move (PRAY to GOD).
    Keep it up....YNWA
