THE LIVERWORD NEWS 30/01/11
Kenny Dalglish states he has no issue with Stoke's style of play as he prepares for Wednesday's home match against them.
THE LIVERWORD SAYS - Stoke's style of play is not pretty but it is effective and difficult to play against with their airial assualt.
Transfer Rumour - Liverpool and Spurs are showing a strong interest in Spain's Fernando Llorente with Spurs hoping to beat Liverpool for his signature reportedly making a bid of £26 million for him.
THE LIVERWORD SAYS - He looks a great player to get but I don't think we can compete with Spurs' offer.
Ajax managing director Rik van den Boog has labelled Liverpool's new signing Luis Suarez a "street fighter" and he reckons Suarez will light up the place.
THE LIVERWORD SAYS - I think he will too but if we lose Torres we need another striker in to support him.
Transfer Rumour - Aston Villa will offer Ashley Young an improved contract to keep him out of the clutches of Liverpool and Man United.
THE LIVERWORD SAYS - He is a very good player with plenty of pace but I think it would cost a lot of money to get him.
Transfer Rumour - Reports suggest that Fulham will try to re-sign Paul Konchesky in the summer for £1.5 million.
THE LIVERWORD SAYS - He's just not good enough for us a poor buy from Hodgson.
Transfer Rumour - Liverpool are keen on a summer move for Newcastle left back Jose Enrique.
THE LIVERWORD SAYS - He has been impressive this season and left back is a weak area in our team.
Reports suggest Liverpool will allow Torres to go to Chelsea for £50 million with a possibility of Anelka being included in the deal as Liverpool are resigned to the fact of losing Torres before the transfer window closes.
THE LIVERWORD SAYS - If we are going to lose him then get as much as we can for him and at least getting Anelka in exchange would give us another experienced striker. But like everyone I am not happy he is going to a rival club.
Reading the news about us wanting £50 million for Torres, it made me think we might have a replacement lined up for him maybe ?. Just because we maybe know that Chelsea can come up with that total of money so it would be bad to not have anyone waiting in the wings. I like the idea of us maybe bringing in Ashley Young as we could do with a decent winger and I cannot wait to see Suarez in a red shirt, whether that be with Torres beside him or not.
