TRANSFER DEADLINE DAY

                                          TRANSFER DEADLINE DAY

What a day this is turning out to be Torres seems certain to be leaving for around £50 million, but rumours of Anelka coming to us in part of the deal sounds good to me as he is another striker with experience. Reports suggest Newcastle's Andy Carrol is on his way to Liverpool as both clubs have agreed on a £35 million fee. I think Carrol would be a great signing and I like the idea of him playing up front alongside Suarez who's signing should be confirmed soon. Their partnership resembles the Keegan and Toshack partnership of yesteryear. It has been such a busy day with many changes and there could be more before the day is out. Recent reports suggest our interest in Blackpool's Charlie Adam has been overtaken by Manchester United who are now the bookies favourite to land him. I would like to have seen Adam at Anfield as he is such a good passer from midfield and a good dead ball expert. The interest in Ashley Young has died down but maybe he is still on our radar, he would be a great signing if we could get him. I have also heard that left back Warnock may return to Liverpool which would be good as we are weak in that position. At the end of the day it looks like its going to be all change at Liverpool with Dalglish already making his mark on the team.

  1. Suarez and Carrol does seem like a good combination if Carrel does sign and Torres leaves. The Torres departure is looking imminent though especially with the news of us after Carroll. Adam interest might still be there though especially as Blackpool themselves has already brought in Andy Reid as his replacement. Hopefully it will all become very clear soon.
